Today is Innocents Day in Spain!! It's kinda similar to April Fools day. We do pranks to our friends and have lots of fun. In my village there's an old tradition: boys and girls who turn eighteen this year dress up and go out to annoy people (provided no offense) with the musical band accompanying them. This boys and girls are called the "locos" (the crazy people). As the celebration lasts all day, youths gather at noon for lunch and evening dining all together.
They're called the "quintos" 'cause years ago the young guys who turn 18 and were called up for two years to comply with mandatory military service were called "quintos". Since then, all the 18 youths (boys or girls) are "quintos" too, and they form the committee to organize the summer festivities in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption. Spain might seem a very religious country, but only when we have parties XD
And then, the 28th of December, the "quintos" have a day to do all they want (always with respect).
I really love this day...

And now, something about my gallery.
New fanart! In fact, a COLOR fanart. I know, it's hard to believe since my submitted arts have been pecil handmade drawings LOL But Gimp and I started to get along and I decided to try something new. And definitely pixel dolls are easier than this. With a little pencil sketch, I've done a complete drawing! (I'm so excited I'm gonna cry!)

Hoy es el Día de los Inocentes en España!! Es similar al April Fools. Hacemos bromas a nuestros amigos y hay mucha diversión. En mi pueblo hay una vieja tradición: los chicos y chicas que cumplen dieciocho años se disfrazan y salen a molestar a la gente (siempre sin ánimo de ofender) con la banda de música que los acompaña. Estos chicos se llaman los "locos". Como la celebración dura todo el día, los jóvenes se reúnen al mediodía para el almuerzo y por la noche cenar todos juntos.
Se llaman los "quintos", porque años atrás los jóvenes que cumplían 18 años y eran llamados a filas para cumplir con los dos años de servicio militar obligatorio fueron llamados "quintos". Desde entonces, todos los jóvenes de 18 (chicos o chicas) son "quintos" también, y forman el comité para organizar las festividades de verano en honor de la Virgen de la Asunción. España puede parecer un país muy religioso, pero sólo cuando tenemos fiestas XD
Y luego, el 28 de diciembre, los "quintos" tienen un día para hacer todo lo que quieran (siempre con respeto).

Fanart Nuevo! De hecho, un fanart a COLOR. Lo sé, es difícil de creer ya que todos mis arts han sido dibujos hechos a mano y además, a láiz (LOL) Pero el Gimp y yo empeamos a llevarnos bien y decidí probar algo nuevo. Y definitivamente las pixel dolls son mucho más fácil que esto. Con un pequeño sketch a láiz, he hecho un dibujo completo! (Estoy tan emocionada que voy a llorar!)

Hi again. How are you? Fine? I'm glad for you...

Well, now we have chatted enough... let me express myself.

Ok, first of all. New devitation in my gallery -sort of realistic Pegasus Seiya. The fanart in wich I'm currently working on is kinda more... difficult? Anyway, I'm not very inspired by now and my art is not as good as I expected. I think I'm more focused on fanfictions by now.

Now... WHY IS EVERYBODY SAYING 'MERRY CHRISTMAS'? IT'S NOT DEC THE 25TH! IT'S NOT EVEN DEC THE 24TH! I know, I know... some of you really enjoy this season and of course you love X-mas but, is truly necessary that stores/malls/other shops put their X-mas lights and puppets and trees and all the rest TWO MONTHS BEFORE!? I wouldn't complain if people follow the natural passage of time and put the decoration on the appropiate days! Why have I to stand the blinking multicolored lights IN NOVEMBER! I can't understand it, sorry! (and I really LOVE blinking lights... and multicolor blinking lights? they fascinate me!!)

Anyway, as everybody says... MERRY CHRISTMAS! (should I say Happy New Year too? LOL)

Hola de nuevo. ¿Cómo va todo? ¿Bien? Me alegro por tí...

Bueno, ahora que hemos charlado bastante... permite que me exprese.

Bueno, en primer lugar. Nuevo devitation en mi galería -una especie de Seiya de Pegaso realista. El fanart en el que estoy trabajando actualmente es un poco más ... difícil? De todos modos, no estoy muy inspirada por ahora y mis arts no son tan buenos como esperaba. Creo que estoy más centrada en fanfictions por ahora.

Ahora ... ¿ por qué; todos andan diciendo 'Feliz Navidad'? NO ES EL 25 DE DICIEMBRE! NI SIQUIERA ES 24! Lo sé, lo sé ... hay algunos que realmente disfrutan de esta temporada y por supuesto adoran la Navidad pero, ¿¡es realmente necesario que las tiendas/centros comerciales/otras espacios de compra pongan sus luces de Navidad, los muñecos, los árboles y todo lo demás, DOS MESES ANTES!? ¡No me quejaría si la gente siguiera el paso natural del tiempo y pusiera la decoración en los días apropiados! ¿ por qué tengo yo que aguantar las parpadeantes luces multicolor en Noviembre!? No puedo entenderlo, lo siento! (y eso que me encantan las luces parpadeantes... y las lucecitas de colores que parpadean? me fascinan!)

De todas formas, como todo el mundo dice... FELIZ NAVIDAD! (¿debería decir Feliz año nuevo también? LOL)

I know this journal must been used to make my art announcements but... T_T I haven't ended the fanart I'm currently working on.

Anyway, I have some art related comment -more or less. I have been visiting for a while trying to win one of the 'ets' they have been raffling by adding to fave or by their traditional form of claim. Nothing to do for me. I have participated in almost ten adoptable calls and I haven't get a single one. I know it's very difficult -hundreds of people participate in fave raffles!

Well... maybe next time! U^_^

Sé que este journal debería ser utilizado para hacer anuncios de mis arts, pero ... T_T no he terminado el fanart en el que estoy trabajando actualmente.

De todos modos, tengo algunos comentarios relacionados con el arte (más o menos). He estado visitando por un tiempo tratando de ganar una de las "mascotas" que sortean por el método de añadir a favoritos o por su forma tradicional de reclamación. No hay nada que hacer para mí. He participado en las convocatorias de casi diez adoptables y no he conseguido ni una sola. Sé que es muy difícil (hay cientos de personas participan en sorteos fave!)

Bueno ... Quizá la próxima vez! U^_^
